FAQ


  • Do you sell new or used furniture?
    • Both!  We take furniture on consignment and we order new furniture every week.
  • Where does your new furniture come from?
    • We order from the following companies on a weekly basis:  Coaster and Crown Mark
      • www.coasterfurniture.com
      • www.crownmark.com
    • We also order from the following companies less frequently:  Albany Industries, Uma, Encore Furniture and Washington Furniture
  • Does it cost more to order from the catalog?
    • No, since we order new furniture every week we simply add your order to ours.  There is never an extra charge to order it or assemble it.
  • Is there a warranty?
    • New furniture from Coaster & Crown Mark has a one year warranty (3 years for leather items)
    • Furniture off the floor is under warranty if it’s new, but please make sure that you notice scratches or any potential damage as these items are sold as is.  We can always order a new item for you if the floor model isn’t quite perfect.
  • Do we have to put the furniture together ourselves?
    • Nope, unless it’s easier for you to get it home in the box.  There is never a charge for assembly.
  • Do you deliver?
    • Some of our employees do deliveries on their own.  The usual delivery charge starts at $40 and may go up from there.  Bedroom sets delivered to the ‘burbs will probably be $100.  A sofa delivered to the east side may be $60. 
    • Things that may make the delivery charge go up:
      • If we have to send more than one delivery guy (you save if you can help!)
      • You live far away
      • The item you bought is heavy and it needs to go up three flights of stairs!
  • What are your consignment terms?
    • We agree on a price you will receive for the item(s).  Your price is firm and ours is the variable.  We aim to double up.
    • Every 30 days the consignment price (yours) and the price tag will be reduced by 25%.
    • When your item sells you may pick up a check on the 15th of the following month.
      • Ex: if we sell it in August you can pick up the check on September 15th.
    • At the end of 60 days you may pick up your item or leave it with us to be reduced by 25% again.  We will continue to reduce your price and the sale price by 25% every 30 days until it sells.
    • WE DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY MAIL OUT CHECKS!  You’ve got to come looking for it or call and request that it be mailed.
    • Please read the fine print on the consignment form you will fill out, if you don’t call us after the 60 day period to at least check in we may consider the item abandoned. 
  • I saw an ad for something on Craigslist.org, do you have it in the store?
    • Maybe.  We have about 5,000 square feet to display our furniture (and other fun things) and access to thousands of items from the catalogs.  We place ads for everything we CAN get in the store, but don’t always have on hand.  We can usually order something for you and have it here in about a week.
  • How long does it take to get something from a catalog?
    • For Coaster & Crown Mark we place orders every Monday morning.  We usually receive shipment on Wednesday or Thursday.  Every few months we get the odd order that takes a few days longer. 
    • Sometimes these companies may have items on back order.  We usually find out when we place the order on Monday morning and will call you asap to let you know. 
    • For Albany Industries it takes 6 – 10 weeks.  Albany Industries is based out of New Albany Mississippi and is the only furniture we order that is made in the U.S.  They don’t make the furniture until we order it so it takes a while.  It is worth the wait!
